The SMALLRIG 5156 is a compact smartphone mount with a magnetic attachment, designed for use in applications such as monitoring the camera’s viewfinder, live streaming, mobile photography, selfies, and working with a teleprompter. It is compatible with MagSafe-enabled iPhones, allowing you to quickly attach your phone and easily switch between portrait and landscape orientations. The mount features two rotating joints that allow you to adjust the smartphone’s position at various angles, while the cold shoe and 1/4"-20 thread enable mounting on tripods, selfie sticks, camera cages, and stabilizers.

Flexible Adjustment and Additional Mounting Options

Two independent pivot points make it easy to adjust the phone’s position to suit your current shooting style, which works well whether you’re using a camera, a gimbal, or a cage. In the center of the mount are standard 1/4"-20 threaded holes, which allow you to expand the setup with accessories such as the SMALLRIG 2336 power bank holder. The upper, circular plate can also be detached and used as an additional mounting platform for accessories such as a microphone or a ball head for a selfie stick.

Lightweight and Sturdy Construction

The mount is made of aluminum, stainless steel, and silicone, so with dimensions of 127.4 × 27.6 × 59 mm, it weighs approximately 80 g and does not significantly increase the weight of the setup. The maximum load capacity is 500 g, so the design is suitable for most compatible smartphones and typical mobile applications.
