SMALLRIG Sony ZV-E10 Grip Camera Cage

The SmallRig 3538B cage is a full protective cage designed for the Sony ZV-E10 camera, which protects the body while allowing you to expand your setup with additional accessories. The design features an ergonomic grip with a silicone finish, an Arca-type quick-release plate, and numerous mounting points including 1/4"-20, ARRI 3/8"-16, and cold shoe mounts. As a result, the cage works well whether you’re shooting handheld or using a tripod, gimbal, or other film kit components.

Stable Mounting and a More Comfortable Grip

The camera is secured in the cage using a bottom 1/4"-20 screw and an additional lock that prevents the body from rotating inside the frame. The ergonomically contoured grip makes it easy to hold the Sony ZV-E10 securely while shooting handheld, and the silicone surface provides extra grip. Protective elements are also incorporated inside the cage to reduce the risk of scratching the camera during installation and everyday use.

Expanding the Setup and Continuous Power Supply

Numerous 1/4"-20 threaded holes and ARRI 3/8"-16 mounting holes allow you to attach additional grips, a power bank mount, and other compatible accessories. There are also cold shoes on the top and bottom of the cage that can be used to mount a microphone, LED light, or other equipment. A special cutout near the battery door allows you to route the cable of a dummy battery, enabling continuous power while still allowing you to place the camera flat on a surface.

Quickly Switch Recording Modes

An Arca-type plate built into the bottom of the cage allows you to quickly mount the camera on a compatible tripod without having to remove the entire assembly. This solution makes it easy to switch between handheld recording and tripod use, especially when the type of shots you’re taking changes frequently. The bottom mounting points are also compatible with the top quick-release plates for the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, and RS 3 Pro gimbals.

Unrestricted Access to the Camera

The cage’s design is tailored to the Sony ZV-E10 so that, once mounted, you can still comfortably access the buttons, memory card slot, battery compartment, and tilting screen. This allows you to leave the camera in the cage during normal operation without having to remove it frequently. The construction, made of aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and silicone, ensures durability, and the weight of approximately 149 g does not add excessive load to the entire setup.
