The SmallRig VB99 SE mini is a compact V-Mount battery with a capacity of 6,800 mAh and an energy rating of 98.872 Wh, designed to power photo and video equipment as well as mobile devices. It offers a discharge power of up to 100 W, bidirectional USB-C PD fast charging with up to 65 W, and a wide range of connectors: BP, D-Tap, USB-C, USB-A, 8V-OUT, and 12V-OUT. The use of LG Class A cells, a BMS, and electronic safety features ensures stable operation, while the easy-to-read OLED screen allows you to monitor the battery’s parameters in real time.

USB-C Fast Charging up to 65 W

The USB-C port supports bidirectional PD fast charging with up to 65 W of power, allowing it to be used both to charge the battery itself and to power compatible devices. It takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge the VB99 SE mini, allowing you to efficiently prepare your equipment for your next session or recording. Support for PD 3.0, QC 2.0, QC 3.0, and PPS protocols enhances compatibility with a wide range of devices and chargers.

Multiple Connectors for Powering Equipment

The SmallRig VB99 SE mini is equipped with a BP port, D-Tap, USB-C, USB-A, and 8 V and 12 V DC outputs, so a single battery can power various components of your setup. It works well with cameras, camcorders, monitors, video transmitters, follow-focus systems, LED lights, as well as smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The independent circuit design of each interface allows for simultaneous power delivery to multiple devices, including fast charging of equipment connected via USB-C and USB-A.

LG Cells and a Comprehensive Safety System

The battery features high-current, Class A LG 18650 cells, ensuring stable performance throughout repeated charge and discharge cycles. The integrated BMS works with the control circuits to protect the device against, among other things, excessive current, voltage, and temperature, as well as short circuits. The housing is made of heat-resistant and flame-retardant PC plastic, and the battery meets international standards and is certified by FCC, CE, RoHS, ISED, RCM, PSE, and KC.

OLED Screen with Key Information

The built-in OLED screen makes it easy to monitor the battery’s status during operation and charging. The display shows, among other things, the energy level, remaining runtime, voltage, and power, allowing you to better plan the unit’s operation. The control button also allows you to cycle through the displayed parameters, wake up or turn off the screen, and—when held down for 3 seconds—force the USB-C, USB-A, and DC ports to shut down.

Compact V-Mount Design

The VB99 SE mini measures 112 × 72 × 53.8 mm and weighs approximately 595 g, providing a capacity of nearly 99 Wh without taking up much space in your setup. The integrated design makes it easy to use the battery both on film rigs and during mobile shoots, where minimizing the size and weight of equipment is crucial. An operating temperature range of -15°C to 60°C further allows it to be used in a variety of conditions during photo and video shoots.

Flexible Charging and Power Options

The battery can be charged via USB-C, the BP port, or a 16.8 V D-Tap charger, making it easy to adapt the charging method to your existing equipment. The USB-C port supports up to 65 W, while the USB-A port offers 5 V / 3 A, 9 V / 3 A, or 12 V / 2.5 A output. The 8V-OUT and 12V-OUT ports provide up to 3 A, while the BP and D-Tap ports support output currents of up to 10 A, allowing the battery to power various components of a mobile photo and video setup.
