SMALLRIG LA-O90 90 cm Softbox

SMALLRIG LA-O90 90 cm Softbox

The SmallRig LA-O90 4633 is an octagonal softbox with a diameter of 90 cm, designed for photography and video production where soft, even, and easily controllable light is essential. The third-generation quick-setup system allows you to efficiently set up the softbox for use and fold it away just as easily, while the standard Bowens mount ensures broad compatibility with SmallRig COB lights and other light sources that use this standard. The unit weighs approximately 900 g, and the kit includes two diffusers, a 45° honeycomb grid, and a carrying bag, allowing the softbox to be easily adapted to various shooting conditions.

Quick Setup and Versatile Bowens Mount

The quick-setup mechanism reduces the number of steps needed to prepare the softbox, which is especially convenient during frequent lighting setup changes on set. The Bowens mount allows you to use, among others, SmallRig RC 120D, RC 120B, RC 220D, RC 220B, RC 350D, RC 350B, RC 450D, and RC 450B, as well as compatible lights from other manufacturers. The design also makes it easy to quickly change the light modifier, which streamlines workflow during photo shoots and video productions.

Oxford Fabric and Effective Light Diffusion

Durable, industrial-grade Oxford fabric, combined with a high-performance light-reflective coating, helps minimize light loss and ensures a more even light distribution. Internal and external diffusers further soften the light, helping to reduce harsh shadows and achieve a more natural effect in portraits, product photography, and studio shoots. The included 45° honeycomb grid reduces light spill to the sides, making it easier to direct the light to a specific area of the frame and maintain greater control over the lighting.

Lightweight and Durable Construction

The umbrella ribs are made of high-strength stainless steel, which increases the structure’s durability during regular folding and unfolding. Despite its 90 cm diameter, the softbox weighs approximately 900 g, making it easy to transport and ensuring it does not place an excessive load on a properly selected lighting stand. When unfolded, it measures approximately 900 × 450 mm, while when folded, its length is approximately 760 mm, making it easy to store and transport the equipment.

A Complete Kit for Various Applications

The SmallRig LA-O90 is equipped with components that allow you to adjust the quality of the light to a specific scene or type of photography. Two diffusers allow you to achieve soft, diffused lighting, while the honeycomb grid helps increase the light’s directionality and limit its spread beyond the selected area. The included bag makes it easy to store and transport the entire kit, so the softbox is ideal for both studio and on-the-go use.
