The SMALLRIG EN-EL15c 4966 is a lithium-ion battery designed for select Nikon cameras, featuring its own USB-C port for convenient recharging. It can be charged using a power bank, power strip, car charger, or dedicated charger, making it easier to prepare the battery for use both at home and on the go. The cell, with a nominal capacity of 2400 mAh, ensures long runtime, and USB-C charging at up to 5 V / 2 A allows the battery to be fully charged in about 2.5 hours. The model is fully decoded, so it works with compatible cameras without displaying warning messages.

Convenient USB-C Charging

The built-in USB-C port reduces the need to rely solely on a traditional battery charger and offers greater flexibility when working away from home or the studio. The ability to connect the battery to a power bank or car charger, among other options, comes in handy when shooting on the go, when access to a standard power source may be limited. The kit includes a 0.6-meter USB-A to USB-C cable. An indicator light makes it easy to monitor the charging process—a red light indicates charging, while a green light indicates that charging is complete.
