SMALLRIG VB50 mini V-Mount Battery

The SMALLRIG VB50 mini 3579B V-Mount Battery is a compact power source with an energy capacity of 49.436 Wh, a voltage of 14.54 V, and a capacity of 3,400 mAh. It offers a rated discharge power of 50 W, fast USB-C charging with up to 45 W, and a set of connectors including a BP port, D-Tap, USB-C, USB-A, an 8 V output, and a 12 V output. With dimensions of 107 × 72 × 34 mm and a weight of approximately 340 g, the battery can be easily integrated into a mobile photo and video setup, and the easy-to-read OLED screen allows you to monitor its status and operating parameters in real time.

USB-C Fast Charging up to 45 W

The intelligent BMS and integrated control components enable USB-C charging at up to 45 W, allowing the battery to fully charge in about 1.5 hours. The USB-C port supports popular fast-charging standards such as PD 3.0, QC 2.0, QC 3.0, and PPS, and its bidirectional capability allows you to both charge the battery and power compatible devices. You can also recharge the battery via the BP port or using a 16.8 V D-Tap charger, giving you greater flexibility when working in the studio or on location.

Multiple Connectors for Powering Various Devices

The SMALLRIG VB50 mini is equipped with independent circuits for each interface, allowing it to supply power to several devices simultaneously. It features BP and D-Tap ports, 8 V and 12 V DC outputs, as well as USB-C and USB-A ports with fast-charging support. This configuration allows you to power mirrorless cameras, camcorders, monitors, follow-focus systems, video transmitters, LED lights, as well as smartphones, tablets, and compatible laptops.

LG Cells and the BMS Safety System

The battery uses high-quality LG A-grade 18650 cells, designed for stable performance over multiple charge and discharge cycles. The BMS system protects the device against overload, short circuits, overheating, and overvoltage, which enhances the safety of both the battery itself and the connected equipment. The casing is made of flame-retardant PC plastic that is resistant to high temperatures and mechanical damage, and the product meets the requirements of MSDS, UN38.3, IEC 62133, UL2054, and UL 62368 standards and holds numerous safety certifications.

OLED Display and Convenient Controls

The bright OLED screen displays key information about the battery’s operation, including charge level, remaining runtime, voltage, and power. A button on the housing allows you to control the screen, switch between voltage and power views, and force the USB-C, USB-A, and DC ports to shut off by holding it down for 3 seconds. With an operating temperature range of -15°C to 60°C, the SMALLRIG VB50 mini can be used for both studio recordings and outdoor shoots.
